1主耶稣我曾应许  永远服事我主
我救主我的朋友  恳求与我相聚

主若时常在我旁  我将奋斗不惧
主若时常引我路  我便随从无虑

2我既生存在世间  容我与主相近
我见迷乱的景物  听见诱惑声音

今生身外和心内  常有仇敌相侵
但望耶稣和我亲  将我灵魂保存

3主耶稣对众门徒  曾有应许相告
主得荣耀的处所  主仆必能得到

耶稣啊 我曾许愿  永远服事殷勤
我救主我的朋友  赐我恩惠依循

1 O Jesus I have promised
to serve Thee to the end
Be Thou forever near me
my Master and my Friend

I shall not fear the battle
if Thou art by my side
Nor wander from the path way
if Thou wilt be my guide

2 O let me feel Thee near me
the world is ever near
I see the sights that dazzle
the tempting sounds I hear

My foes are ever near me
around me and within
But Jesus draw Thou nearer
and shield my soul from sin

3 O Jesus Thou hast promised
to all who follow Thee
That where Thou art in glory
there shall Thy servant be

And Jesus I have promised
to serve Thee to the end
O give me grace to follow
my Master and my Friend
