慈容仍满泪痕

人智难量的深爱

可恨无边的罪孽
长在门前阻碍

殷勤苦劝开门
我曾为你舍生命
你竟如此忍心

听罢忧惭相交併
我便大开心门
亲爱的主请进来
与我永远相亲

Outside the fast closed door
In lowly patience waiting
To pass the thresh-old o’er

Shame on us Christian brothers
His Name and sign who bear
O shame thrice shame upon us
To keep Him standing there

2 O Jesus Thou art knocking
And lo that hand is scarred
And thorns Thy brow encircle
And tears Thy face have marred

O love that passeth knowledge
So patiently to wait
O sin that has no equal
So fast to bar the gate

In accents meek and low
